Shearing

Shearing, also known as die cutting, is a metal fabrication process which uses upper and lower blades to cut straight lines on flat metal stock without burning or melting. Shearing is quite common in the industry due its efficient and inexpensive nature. It also creates clean cuts with virtually no waste in the form of chips.

The shearing department at Coremark Metals offers the fastest and most cost-effective option for cutting sheets and plates. Our skilled operators can meet a wide range of tolerances and our CNC back gauge ensures that we deliver on our high standards for quality control. Plus, due to the blades used on our shear, there is no kerf loss as with other processing options.
