HD Plasma Cutting

Like flame, plasma cutting is another thermal based processing technique. Unlike flame cutting, it uses an electrical arc to ionize gas that is passing through a constricted opening. This raises the temperature of the gas to the point that it becomes a fourth state of matter: plasma. Since plasma can be used on most materials that conduct electricity, it is not limited to steel. On the other hand, this technique is more limited in terms of the thickness of material it can cut, maxing out at 1.25” for aluminum and stainless steel. 2.00” is the max thickness for steel.

Description

Our high definition plasma table spans an impressive 10' x 30' surface area and can cut material thicker than laser cutting allows. With a cut rate of up to 500 inches per minute, your project will be processed efficiently and with a high quality cut edge. Accepting DXF and DWG files, our nesting software allows for more accurate quoting which translates to major cost savings, plus our lead times are of the best in the industry.
