Description
A1011 hot rolled pickled and oiled (P&O) steel sheets are an excellent candidate for most processing techniques. A1011 hot rolled steel sheets have smooth, blue-grey finish. P&O sheets are standard hot rolled steel sheets that has undergone a “pickling” process, meaning the sheets have been dipped into an acid in order to remove the mill scale from its surface. Once the pickling process is complete a light rust preventative is applied to slow down the corrosion of the material. A1011 is considered a commercial quality alloy material. Common applications include base plates, brackets, gussets, sheathing and ornamental projects.
